Easter Celebration Recap
We celebrate Easter Sunday lunch every year with family and friends and this year was no different. Here is our Easter Celebration recap. We had 16 over and started the day with an Easter egg hunt that my Son’s lovely girlfriend organised. The gathering was competitive with the youngest Ava (aged 2) the clear winner with an impressive haul. We thought we had found all of the booty but our Beagle Sebastian managed to sniff out 1/2 a dozen overlooked eggs. I know dogs shouldn’t have chocolate but it was not the first time he had managed to get his paws on the forbidden treat and it hasn’t hurt his cast iron gut in the least.
We gathered on our back deck to settle in for our Easter feast. The table was inspired by a post I put up earlier that week. (I had to modify it a little because of the number of our guests)
On the menu was Prosciutto and Fig Stuffed Lamb, with potato salad, pumpkin and spinach salad and a green salad. My son Ryan made the gravy that was so involved I couldn’t begin to try and remember how he made it, but it was amazing. Desert was coffee tiramisu and Tim Tam cheese cake. And because we obviously didn’t have enough to eat, we finished the afternoon with selection of cheeses. and a few more wines.
I hope you all had an enjoyable Easter and didn’t end up in a chocolate coma!
