Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Rolls

This week from the Nervous Cook, I share with you these super delicious and easy Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese rolls. We served them at last weeks ‘Style Your Home’ workshop, and they were a hit.

What could go wrong.

Yes it was a really simple recipe but if anyone could have a problem it’s The Nervous Cook. I always prepare any catering well before the event, but because these contained salmon I left putting these rolls together until the last minute. Even though I hadn’t tried this recipe before it did seem very straight forward so I was not concerned. I gathered the ingredients together but couldn’t find the smoked salmon.

I definitely had bought some the day before. I checked the fridge and checked the fridge again.  I knew I hadn’t put it in the freezer, but I checked it as well. Yep… there it was. Frozen solid. To say there was a tense moment or two is an understatement.   Luckily my son Max was home and he raced to the local shop and grabbed me some more fresh smoked salmon. Pheww. Got them done in the nick of time and they really were delicious.

Give them a go, just don’t freeze the salmon!  Let me know what you think.
