Flower Blocks

$160.00

Flower Block is a series of small but striking encaustic wax and wire artworks that brings a sculptural flower form to life. Built up in layers of softly luminous wax, the petals have an organic, almost touchable quality, while hand-shaped wire weave through the surface, adding movement and contrast.

The creamy wax block creates a calm, minimal backdrop that allows the flower to truly stand out, a beautiful balance of softness and strength. This piece is perfect for collectors who love contemporary botanical art with texture, depth, and a slightly playful edge.

At 14 x 23 cm, Flower Block is ideal for styling on a shelf, console, or small wall space, where it quietly draws the eye and rewards closer looking. A thoughtful addition to any home, or a meaningful gift for someone who appreciates handcrafted, original art.

Medium: Encaustic wax & wire

Size: 14 x 23 cm

What is Encaustic Wax Painting?

Encaustic painting is an ancient art form that uses natural beeswax mixed with damar resin (a tree sap) and pigments to create beautifully layered, luminous artworks. Each layer of wax is painted on while warm and then fused with heat, giving the surface a gorgeous depth and a soft, tactile quality you can’t get with other mediums.

Every piece is unique, with textures and details that shift and change as the light catches them.

How to Care for Your Encaustic Art

Encaustic wax is surprisingly durable – it’s been around since ancient Egypt, after all! Your piece won’t melt under normal home conditions, but it’s best to keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters, or extreme heat.

Dust it gently with a soft cloth if needed. Over time, you may notice the surface developing a soft, natural sheen – this is perfectly normal and part of the charm of encaustic art. With just a little love, your artwork will last for generations.

Shipping for International Collectors

I’m delighted to send my artwork to collectors all around the world. Because each piece is unique and shipping costs vary depending on size, weight, and destination, international customers are encouraged to get in touch for the best shipping option and quote.

This way, I can ensure your artwork is safely packaged and shipped at the most reliable and cost-effective rate for your location.
