Tea Time

$210.00

Tea Time is a warm and whimsical encaustic wax and mixed-media artwork that celebrates the simple joy of slowing down. Soft textures, gentle layers, and playful mark-making come together to create a peaceful moment—just like that first sip of a perfectly brewed cuppa. At 23 x 23 cm, it’s the ideal size for creating a cosy focal point in a kitchen, dining nook, hallway, or reading corner.

This one-of-a-kind piece brings a sense of comfort, homeliness, and quiet reflection into any space. If you love art with heart, texture, and a touch of everyday magic, Tea Time is the perfect companion for your home.

What is Encaustic Wax Painting?

Encaustic painting is an ancient art form that uses natural beeswax mixed with damar resin (a tree sap) and pigments to create beautifully layered, luminous artworks. Each layer of wax is painted on while warm and then fused with heat, giving the surface a gorgeous depth and a soft, tactile quality you can’t get with other mediums. Every piece is unique, with textures and details that shift and change as the light catches them.

How to Care for Your Encaustic Art

Encaustic wax is surprisingly durable – it’s been around since ancient Egypt, after all! Your piece won’t melt under normal home conditions, but it’s best to keep it away from direct sunlight, heaters, or extreme heat. Dust it gently with a soft cloth if needed, and over time, you may notice the surface developing a soft, natural sheen – this is perfectly normal and part of the charm of encaustic art. With just a little love, your artwork will last for generations.
